STUD DOGS -- CLARION WORLD CLASS

Comment on important kennel lines in the
pedigree.
Shane is by Ch. Clarion Color My World, who is a son
of Ch. Paradices Along Came Jones. The sire side is
a combination of Clarion/Paradice breeding which traces
back to Glen Knolls, Erin's Own and Brandwyne, with
a bit of Tartanside through Ch. Clarion's Too Much
Heaven, whose dam was out of a Gladiator daughter.
His dam, Paradices Fan the Flame is a granddaughter
of Along Came Jones, and her pedigree is also linebred
to Ch. Clarion's Nightrider with a cross to Tartanside
through Ch. Brolly the Gay Cavalier.
What qualities and virtues have been contributed
by key dogs in the stud's pedigree? Comment on important
breedings in the stud dog' pedigree.
I believe that the overall type and picture that Shane
presents and is dominant for in his offspring is most
reminiscent of Ch. Paradices Along Came Jones. He
seems to have inherited a bit more length of head
and his beautiful eye shape from his sire, Ch. Clarion
Color My World. I also see the influence of his granddam,
Ch. Clarion's Too Much Heaven, in the tight, well-set,
natural ears for which he is dominant. She was outstanding
for that particular virtue.
Looking at his extended pedigree, one can see the
influence of the Whirlaway/Richochet cross that was
carried out through Ch. Clarion's Nightrider and his
son, Ch. Paradice's Cloak and Dagger. The entire pedigree
is a series of those crosses with an outcross to the
Gladiator through the breeding with Ch. Kemricks Silver
Satin and also through the Gladiator to Ch. Brolly's
Gay Cavalier, the grandsire of Paradices Brolly By
Golly.
