Hi, my name is Cassidy. My sister Ginger
and I were lost and ended up in a shelter. Lucky for us the rescue group came and
got us out. My sister wast adopted real fast because she is real sweet and pretty and – well, normal. I am a very happy, handsome guy who happens to have a deformed foot.
I don't remember if it was an accident when
I was little or genetic. But when I walk I sometimes only use 3 legs. People are
really surprised when they see me run and play. Mom says I need a fenced yard and another dog to play with because I am young and have lots of energy. She is teaching me house manners and I don’t mind staying in a crate to sleep. I'm learning to not jump on people, to sit and get petted, and I am housetrained. I just need a family to keep loving me for the sweet boy I am. If you want to see a video of me playing with Belle my foster mom’s collie, go to www.colliesflorida.org. You will be amazed!!
Many avenues are available to assist collie rescue organizations near you or nationally through the Collie Rescue Foundation. Of course, monetary donations are always needed and appreciated to help pay for spay/neuter, worming, heartworm treatment and preventative, vaccinations, surgeries, and food. There are, however, many ways to assist rescue such as donating supplies, offering to foster, helping to transport, as well as offering services and expertise.
