The Collie Club of Connecticut Show dedicated its 2011 Specialty Show to the memory of Herbert Searle. Herb
and his wife Kay started showing their first dog in1958.
Herb was an all breed handler for many years. He was a member of the Collie Club of America, the Tri State Shetland Sheepdog Club and American Shetland Sheepdog Association. Herb judged Collies and Shetland
Sheepdogs for many years and was a well respected
judge.
Herb and Kay started in Shetland Sheepdogs in the 60's.
They were the proud owners of Ch. Valdawn's Talk of the Towne, a member of the ASSC Century Club and Best of Breed three times at the Westminster Kennel Club.
Herb will be missed by his children, grandchildren and
the many people he touched in his lifetime.
