Meet Tara (Collie Rescue of the Carolinas):
My name is Tara, and I'm a smooth, tri-color collie.
My new friend Jean Smith calls me a sweet, gentle, calm young lady. I know how to walk on leash, and
I really like kitties - they're cool. I'm housetrained,
crate trained, and I love rides in the car, being with people and children, my toys and my doggie bed.
My people took me to the vet to have me de-barked, so now I have a soft voice to match my personality. I'm not sure why they wanted me to whisper because I'm not much of a barker. Anyhow to make a long story short, my owners never came back to pick me up and didn't pay the bill, so I went to live at the animal shelter. Now I live in a foster home, but really want a new forever home -- Like one of these homes!

Many avenues are available to assist collie rescue organizations near you or nationally through the Collie Rescue Foundation. Of course, monetary donations are always needed and appreciated to help pay for spay/neuter, worming, heartworm treatment and preventative, vaccinations, surgeries, and food. There are, however, many ways to assist rescue such as donating supplies, offering to foster, helping to transport, as well as offering services and expertise.
