January 30, 2012 In Memory of Adele Gay, DelGayla Collies Sent by Jennifer Carpenter
Adele C. Gay, 63, of Parkesburg, died Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at her home. She was the wife of Alan L. Gay with whom she shared 44 years of marriage. Born in Coatesville, she was the daughter of the late Andrew C. and Anna Peters Jones. Adele was the owner of Del's Dips and Dos, a dog grooming business for the past 10 years. Previously, she raised show collies under the name DelGayla and was a member of the South Jersey Collie Club, and supported the Collie Rescue of Southeast Pennsylvania. Adele also had the privilege of showing her dogs at the elite Westminster Dog Show. She donated multiple collies to the Canine Partners for Life. Adele was involved with the Fallowfield Fillies Girls Softball league for over 25 years as either a coach or officer. From 1990 to 1995, she was the CASH softball and field hockey coach. Adele was the past treasurer of the West End Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and also an officer and member of the Coatesville Area Jaycettes. Surviving her, in addition to her husband, Alan, are two daughters; Monica Warmijak, wife of John of Coatesville and Megan Lesko, wife of Jason of Downingtown; three brothers, Augie, Craig and John Jones; and two grandchildren, Jonathon and Jordan. She was preceded in death by a brother, Andrew C. Jones, Jr. and a sister, Althea "Tootsie" Davis. Remembering Carol Karalis, Castle Hill Collies Carol Karalis of Castle Hill Collies died early Friday morning after fighting a brave battle against liver cancer over the last two months. She died in the company of her family and her dear friend (and partner in Collies and Shelties), Elvys Maldonado. Carol was a true friend to all in every sense of the word—good spirited, kind, thoughtful and helpful. She loved life, her friends, and her dogs. Carol will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
