On Saturday, February 23, 2008, The San Diego Collie Club held its specialty show and Collie Rescue Raffle at MaGee Park in Carlsbad, Ca. Following a heavy rain, just the day before, the sun was shinning bright, and so were all the collies. The San Diego Collie Club would like to sincerely thank our CCA district members, exhibitors, attendees and rescued collie adopters who so generously opened their hearts and wallets, and supported our Collie Rescue Raffle last Saturday at our specialty show. Rick Lingenfelter donated two spectacular pieces of silver collie jewelry which were raffled just before rough BOV judging. The grand total of donations at the end of the day was $1,000.00. Over the past year, at three SDCC specialty shows, a total of $3,100.00 has been collected and donated to two collie rescue organizations.
Your relentless generosity helps collie rescue workers to continue saving the lives of many wonderful collies. Watching the happiness in the eyes of the 30 lucky adopted collies during our CR Parade made one think of what the horrible alternative might have been for those loving collies had it not been for Collie Rescue Organizations. Everyone in our CCA district who donates to CR in some form, or who participates in these types of events, should be extremely proud of their contribution to our breed's welfare. Homeless collies thank you!

COLLIE QUOTE
To paraphrase something I heard recently, learning is the gear that moves us toward progress. Discovering the how and why of reproduction, behavior, conformation, and showing keeps my involvement in dogs challenging and interesting -- and keeps me in the sport.

There are two ways to advertise on Collies Online. Breeders can advertise their kennel by purchasing a Breeders Directory Listing for $75 and updating their litter news throughout the year. The listings are organized by state and have proven very affective for breeders all over the country.
The second way to advertise is by purchasing display ad space. The lead ad is by reservation only and costs $75. Interior ads cost $50. We accept payments by check, payable to "Collies Online" or online through PayPal. Display ads are published either Friday night or Saturday morning and appear in the ad tunnel for a week, on this contents page for a month and then in the ad archive for a year.
By sending us a photo and ad copy, we can design an attractive ad for you or you can submit your ad finished. Contact us by e-mail at ColliesOnline@fastmail.us for lead-page availability or specs if you are designing your own ad.
Each extra photo is $10 and you can enhance your ad with a pedigree for an additional $10. |
